The Point is seeking six vibrant, engaging and talented performers to join the professional cast of this year’s festive production, The Frog Princess: A Festive Adventure.

Auditions will take place at The Point, Eastleigh on Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd June.

The Point’s Christmas shows are high-quality, family-friendly productions that reinvent classic tales through original music, puppetry and imaginative storytelling. Combining professional performers with local emerging and young talent, they offer an inclusive, heartfelt alternative to pantomime, celebrating creativity, connection and community spirit.

Frog Princess

We are looking for...

Five highly skilled actor-musicians:

  • Confident multi-rolers, playing both lead roles and members of the singing/narrating Frog Chorus
  • Professionally trained, or with proven professional actor or actor-musician experience
  • Able to play one or ideally two instruments to a high standard (including but not limited to: Keys, Violin, Flute, Guitar, Bass Guitar)
  • Please list your instruments clearly when applying

One exceptional performer / puppeteer:

  • To play Frances the Cat and other ensemble roles
  • Must demonstrate excellent puppetry and performance skills, with the ability to play a range of supporting ensemble roles as well as confidently bring Frances the Cat to life
  • Please only apply if you have significant puppetry experience

The production will feature a community and young ensemble, so a generosity of spirit and collaborative approach from all performers is essential.


Commitment

Rehearsals:

16th September, 18th October, 15th & 22nd November, 24th November - 6th December

Tech Week:

8th - 11th December

Run:

12th - 28th December (no show 25th & 26th December)

Additional:

Fittings and promo - as agreed
