The Point: continuing to bring people together through arts and culture

Untitled design 73

The Point remains open and committed to bringing theatre, performance, creativity and community activity to Eastleigh.

As we move into a new chapter, our focus is on ensuring The Point remains a thriving, welcoming and sustainable venue for audiences, artists, community groups and hirers for years to come.

Recent changes to the way the venue operates have included the difficult decision to stop creating and producing work in-house. Over the past two years, The Point invested in developing its own Christmas productions. While these productions delivered creative and community value, they were not financially sustainable and could not continue in their existing form.

This does not mean The Point is closing or stepping away from arts and culture.

Alongside a varied programme of theatre, dance, comedy, music and family entertainment, we're continuing to invest in creative opportunities for our communities. This winter, The Berry Theatre will present a family Christmas show, while The Point will host a festive experience featuring young local performers.

We're also continuing to develop Story World through partnerships with local creatives and further education providers, and our Youth Theatre programme continues to thrive, supporting the next generation of performers and creatives.

While the way some activity is delivered is changing, our commitment to creativity, participation and cultural engagement remains unchanged. We look forward to building new partnerships, welcoming new audiences and sharing more about what's ahead.
