Our Story
Discover a vibrant hub of creativity and community right here in the heart of Eastleigh.
Inspiring Creativity Building Community
The Point, Eastleigh, is a vibrant cultural hub steeped in history and creativity. Developed in 1996 with one of the first National Lottery grants, this venue combines the charm of its late 1800s origins with modern enhancements. The main auditorium is located in Eastleigh's original Town Hall, while the Studio Theatre was formerly part of the town’s library. A significant expansion in 2009 introduced the Creation Space, seamlessly integrating new facilities with the building’s historic character. In 2015, The Point became one of Arts Council England's National Portfolio Organisations.
Today, The Point boasts a main theatre, dance studio, studio theatre, residential Creation Space, and three meeting rooms, making it an inspiring location for a diverse array of events. Committed to fostering strong connections with audiences, artists, and community groups, The Point celebrates creativity through live performances, classes, and hands-on activities, while also prioritizing the well-being of its staff, visitors, and the planet. Our dedicated team works tirelessly across our two vibrant theatres and exciting festivals.
