Get involved in creating a new piece of theatre!

Get involved in a new piece of theatre which will be co-created with communities across the South of England, in collaboration with The Point, Eastleigh and The Dome, Brighton.

Bunkum Ensemble, a new theatre company based at The Point, Eastleigh, are looking to meet creative people from around the Eastleigh area to get involved in the making of a new show called HONEY FUNGUS. A show about nature, connection and relationships. We don’t know much more than that yet, but with your help we will create it together.

Did you used to do theatre at school but haven’t done it since? Or maybe you’ve never done it before, feel like it could be fun, but don’t know where to start? Or maybe you’ve been looking for a creative outlet, but not been sure where to find it?

If you are 18+ and have a SO or PO postcode Bunkum want to meet you.

Wherever you’re starting from, and whatever way you like to express yourself - whether it’s by acting, writing, dancing, talking, doodling designing, knitting, running, listening to music, making stuff…We want to meet you.

Over the next 9 months we will be working with Bearface Theatre in Eastleigh and Brighton People’s Theatre in Brighton to create a place where people can come and play and contribute to this ambitious project.

At the moment we are just looking for expressions of interest, so if this sounds like something you are interested in, please fill in this very short form and we will be in touch with more details soon.

Dates:

w/c 28th October (various times)

During this time will be running a series of Pay What You Decide workshops open to everyone, whatever your experience.

Each workshop will have a specific focus as we build the show together, but all of the workshops will be light, fun places to meet and play together, form a creative community working on a project together.

Some of these workshops will be during the daytime and some will be during the evening. You don’t have to attend all of them, but if you do we hope you’ll get a real sense of how a show is made, from initial idea to first draft sharing.

Wednesday 30th October, 6pm - 8pm:The Characters

Thursday 31st October, 6pm - 8pm: The scenes / The events

Whatever your experience, whether you’ve done something like this before, or whether this is the very first time you’ve thought about performance and you’re looking for a new creative outlet. We want to meet you.
