Point Youth Theatre to perform children’s classic – there's still time to get involved!

We’re delighted to reveal that our Point Youth Theatre will bring Roald Dahl’s beloved tale Fantastic Mr Fox, as adapted by Sally Reid, to life in 2023!

And the best news is - there is still time to get involved and to be part of this fantastic production!

Young people aged 5-14 will take to the stage in Easter 2023 supported by a fully professional team to share this mischievous adventure. Audiences will delight as Mr Fox, with the help of his wife, children and a host of pals, attempts to outwit the greedy farmers to bring food and good cheer to his community.

The performance will feature as part of The Point’s Take Flight Festival, celebrating the creative brilliance of children and young people.

Perform as part of our Young Company and make memories that will last a lifetime. The Point Youth Theatre, a force of creativity and fun for anyone aged 5-14, offers an exciting way to get involved in performance in a lively and supportive environment.

Led by industry professionals, sessions are tailored to the age of the group and provide the perfect mix of developing skills and creativity with making new friends and having a fantastic time. Bursaries are available to support everyone to access this provision, regardless of their financial situation.

To get involved, email Youth Theatre Director becks.granger@eastleigh.gov.uk to arrange a taster session.

Charlotte Hall, Creative Director of The Point Eastleigh, said: "I cannot wait to see the imaginative, inventive and original ideas our unbelievably talented Youth Theatre conjure up to tell one of the best children’s stories of all time. It's so exciting that there is still time to be involved and I highly recommend encouraging your child to take part and to make some epic memories as a Youth Theatre member."
