We are looking for a brilliant performer to play The Prince in our upcoming Christmas show, Cinderella’s Wellies.
The show is a time travelling retelling of the original story with all of the classic fairytale moments audiences expect and love in Cinderella. The show is very much a Christmas show (rather than a pantomime) and features puppetry and an original score.
The show begins after Happily Ever After with Cinderella and The Prince enjoying a much happier and fulfilled life, when a magical mishap sends Cinderella back in time. The Prince has to bandy together friends (and enemies) to find a way to bring Cinderella back.
The Prince in our story is very much a rounded character with a strong sense of self but finds himself at a loss when the usual heroic tropes don’t work in saving Cinderella. Therefore we are looking for a performer with strong acting and singing skills, a natural warmth and good sense of humour. A generosity of spirit is essential as the show will feature a community support cast.
Auditions will be held at The Point Monday 16th – Wednesday 18th September.
Rehearsals: 4th – 19th December
Performances: 20th – 31st December (not 25th & 26th)
Inclusive fee of £2,800 (including per diem) plus accommodation in our onsite accommodation for the duration of the rehearsal and run.
