Professional Class
Professional Class is regular dance classes for experienced dancers aged 16+. Whether you're studying, working in the arts, or fancy getting back into dance, these sessions are for you.
This monthly class is held by ZoieLogic Dance Theatre, in partnership with The Point and delivered in collaboration with local dance artists.
Monday 20th January 7.15pm-8.30pm: Led by Reuben Spencer
Reuben is in two dance companies based in Hampshire and has newly formed his own dance company. This year Reuben premiered his work in Liverpool as part of the Young Creatives programme. Reuben's contemporary dance class including floorwork and contact work which is open for everyone.
Monday 24th February 7.15pm-8.30pm: Led by Will Hodson
Will’s class is an energetic, full-bodied and grounded technique class. Dancers will look at dropping weight into and transitioning out of the floor seamlessly whilst moving through the space. In class Will encourages playfulness, with puzzle-like exercises to challenge the brain and body - along with athletic floor work exercises with grounding techniques; ending with a lively phrase that gives space to explore audience interactions and working with the room to push this further.
Monday 24th March 7.15pm-8.30pm: Led by Lauren Williams
Expect high energy contemporary classwork inspired by Lauren’s desire to get people moving, this will include some floorwork, travelling and exercises that rely on physical sensation. Phrases throughout class will give an opportunity for dancers to let go and have fun.
Monday 28th April 7.15pm-8.30pm: Led by George Burton
George's classes take influence from styles such as Release, soft acrobatics and breaking. Participants can expect to undertake an energetic class, warming up with some drills/technique and some phrase work that has been built around skills developed throughout the class.
Monday 19th May 7.15pm-8.30pm: Led by Natalie Watson
Natalie leads a lively and engaging contemporary dance class. Whilst her technical focus is on dynamic alignment, strength, stamina and movement from all directions, Natalie’s ultimate focus is to remind ourselves of the passion and joy that drew us to contemporary dance in the first place.

We want our building and everything we do to be as inclusive as possible and are committed to finding ways to allow all our audiences to enjoy their visit to The Point.
The Point is fully wheelchair accessible with flat level access to our Box Office and all performance spaces. There is a lift to our meeting room and wheelchair accessible seating areas. We have three accessible toilets.
There is limited disabled parking available outside our entrance, or alternatively disabled parking is widely available at any of the town centre's car parks.

The Point does not have a public car park. We recommend using town centre parking in Eastleigh, a short walk away. Parking charges apply from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday—please check before you arrive. We suggest using the Mitchell Road or Swan Centre long-stay car parks.
