Sound Pop Academy is the South’s leading singing group for young people aged 6-17 and we’re on a mission to get more young people singing. We are more than just a choir or a ‘singing club’. We are a fresh and contemporary performance group who pride ourselves on guiding young people through the diverse world of singing, dancing and performance.

The idea was born in October 2016 and our vision of being ‘bold and different’ has defined us ever since. We run sessions throughout the year, teaching young people about harmony singing, vocal technique and performance skills in a fun, creative and engaging way.

We believe that every young person should be able to access high-quality performing arts classes at an affordable price. Our members have the opportunity to participate in supportive weekly sessions which help them grow in confidence and develop performance skills, all whilst having loads of fun!

Open to all ages , no experience needed. Little Sound Pop Academy (ages 6-8) 5.15pm - 6.15pm / Sound Pop Academy (ages 9-17) 6.30pm - 8pm

The Point is fully wheelchair accessible with flat level access to our Box Office and all performance spaces. There is a lift to our meeting room and wheelchair accessible seating areas. We have three accessible toilets.

There is limited disabled parking available outside our entrance, or alternatively disabled parking is widely available at any of the town centre's car parks.

  • Located in our inviting foyer, The Point Café Bar offers a diverse daily menu featuring delectable lunches, tempting cakes, and a selection of coffees and drinks. Enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi and convenient power sockets in our cosy seating area—ideal for catching up on work or socialising with friends. Before your performance, feel free to grab a refreshing drink or a delicious ice cream to enjoy in our foyer or family-friendly atrium.
