Help us celebrate our 30th Birthday, with a very special Open Day full of fun for all the family!

Join us as we open our doors and pull back the curtains for backstage tours bursting with history, dance class and youth theatre taster sessions, Sustainable businesses exhibit, local makers market, craft activities and the Hoglets Theatre's production of The Tale of The Loneliest Whale in our Studio Theatre.

Hoglets Theatre: The Tale of the Loneliest Whale

Studio Theatre, 11am & 2pm

Join Hoglets Theatre for a magical, interactive deep-sea adventure! Whale sings his heart out, but nobody sings back. Determined to find a friend, he embarks on an unforgettable quest through the ocean’s depths. Packed with beautiful puppets and original songs, this show celebrates friendship, difference, and the beauty of being yourself.

Adult Contemporary Dance Taster

Creation Space, 10.30am

Get a taste of our new Adult Contemporary Dance Class launching in the autumn! Explore the world of contemporary dance through floor work, fluid release-based movement, and dynamic movement phrases. Build body awareness, strength, coordination, and confidence through creative exercises and engaging choreography. An  open-level class is ideal for adults with some previous dance experience,

Get a taste of our termly Adult Ballet Class! A friendly and welcoming ballet class suitable for those who dance regularly or are returning to ballet after a break. This is a mixed ability class and some ballet experience is advisable.

Sound Pop Academy Workshop

Creation Space, 1pm

For ages 6+

Sound Pop Academy rehearse during term time at The Point each Wednesday and are on the lookout for new members aged 6-17. Whether or not you’re looking to join from September, come and experience a Sound Pop Academy class. We’ll sing, we’ll dance and we’ll have some fun. This workshop will be led by Sound Pop Academy's Co-Founder, Director and Eastleigh leader, Mike Evans.

We will be joined by a series of local businesses who will be showcasing the work they do to prioritise sustainability, inspiring and empowering our visitors to live greener lives.

Browse our local makers market throughout the day, with stallholders selling their beautiful handmade crafts including jewellery, baked treats, homeware, gifts and more.

Waste is a monster problem! Can you follow the trail and answer the puzzles too help Rubbish Monster Thing and his friend Elsie to reduce it? Complete the extra secret mission to win a prize.

Situated in Eastleigh's beautifully refurbished Victorian Town Hall, we proudly present a variety of live performances, classes, residencies, and hands-on activities for our local community.

  • We want our building and everything we do to be as inclusive as possible and are committed to finding ways to allow all our audiences to enjoy their visit to The Point.

    The Point is fully wheelchair accessible with flat level access to our Box Office and all performance spaces. There is a lift to our meeting room and wheelchair accessible seating areas. We have three accessible toilets.

    There is limited disabled parking available outside our entrance, or alternatively disabled parking is widely available at any of the town centre's car parks.

  • Located in our inviting foyer, The Point Café Bar offers a diverse daily menu featuring delectable lunches, tempting cakes, and a selection of coffees and drinks. Enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi and convenient power sockets in our cosy seating area—ideal for catching up on work or socialising with friends. Before your performance, feel free to grab a refreshing drink or a delicious ice cream to enjoy in our foyer or family-friendly atrium.

  • The Point does not have a public car park. We recommend using town centre parking in Eastleigh, a short walk away. Parking charges apply from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday—please check before you arrive. We suggest using the Mitchell Road or Swan Centre long-stay car parks.
